The ENDIA Team would like to send sincere thanks to Bill Nash who has provided input and support to the Study over the last couple of years. Bill was unable to participate in ENDIA as his children were past 6 months of age when we started. But he has been an advocate for the study and provided his personal experiences and insights as a father living with type 1 diabetes. Bill remains on our online Consumer Feedback Group, which we are very grateful to him for.

Now that recruitment to ENDIA has ended, the team must shift gears to focus on keeping our families engaged and involved in the Study for as long as possible. To that end, we are delighted to welcome Nikki Micklem to the role of Consumer Representative for 2020. She is a mother of two children, both enrolled in ENDIA via the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. Nikki has already made some welcome suggestions to the Study team moving forward whilst also recently giving birth to her second little ENDIAN!

Nikki kindly presented to our annual meeting in February, whilst 36 weeks pregnant. She outlined her perspectives and experiences of the ENDIA Study. We’d love to share her presentation with you. Apologies for the quality of the audio! We’ll try and do better next time! Hopefully the subtitles help somewhat…
